Once I'd decided on the expressions I could use, I started to animate these. For my first test I drew the character very large, so that it filled the page. However, as I continued in this way I felt that it was too large and each frame took a lot of time to draw. So I started again but on a much smaller scale.
This is the finished result of the smaller frames. I feel it was relatively successful in capturing the expressions and how the face morphs and moves between these. But I had an issue with the head changing size. Plus, although this method of working smaller meant I saved time I believe that the actions and movement was much smoother when using larger drawings for each frame.
