After deciding upon what food was to be represented, we had some thoughts on what materials we could use and made a list.
To make the BLT sandwich:
- Plasticine - bread
- Red cricket ball - tomato
- Buttons - cucumber
- Google eyes - olives
- Fabric - bacon: for this we are using replacement animation as the bacon cooks and changes colour, so will need different shades of bacon!
Cup of tea:
- Marbles - water
- Maltesers - diffusing tea
- Tea bag - as itself
- Tape - pouring water
- Sherbert - sugar
- White polystyrine/milk bottle sweets - milk
We started off by going to the textiles department and asking for scrap pieces of fabric that would be suitable for the bacon pieces. Whilst half the group did this the other half went to buy materials such as the sweets and stuff.
Then we started to make up the pieces.
We started to make tests using the materials. Some items we needed a few of, as during the animation we would be using replacement as the process.
